The Communications Department

Press Information

The Communications Department of the University of Luxembourg dispatches more than a hundred press releases per year, many in two or even three languages, and organises press conferences, maintains media contact lists, finds interview partners for reporters and works on many other media inquiries. We help reporters to cover their stories in research and academics and have therefore also selected a few story ideas that you may find interesting.

Web Editing

Our web editor maintains and updates the central University websites, is in charge of further design and improvement of these pages and new pages, as well as the web charta, consulting, and CMS training for staff members.

Marketing

We produce image brochures, a public e-newsletter, and videos that are shot at the University, as well as organise presentations, student marketing campaigns, merchandising or the open day, in cooperation with the student department SEVE. Furthermore, we are in close online contact with prospective students, current students and citizens through social networking sites.

Internal Communication

Throughout the course of the academic year, we keep our international university community informed on the events organised by the University in a weekly staff newsletter and we organise various staff events.

Event Organisation

We organise numerous events like for example the “Dies Academicus” or inaugural lectures.

Corporate Design

We are responsible for maintaining and developing corporate design rules for the University and are here to offer you advice and help you with questions concerning guidelines and logos when designing official presentations or illustrations, posters or leaflets.
