Arnaud Bourgain is Assistant-Professor in Economics at the University of Luxembourg since 1999. He graduated in Economics at the University of Nancy II (1989) and got a PhD in Economics under the direction of Prof. Alain Buzelay (Nancy April 2, 1994). His research focuses on regional economic integration of small economies or developing countries. Currently, his research concentrates on various aspects of competitiveness and the attractiveness of small jurisdictions.
In 1996 and 1997, he collaborated to the African Economic Research Consortium?s (Nairobi) research program. Since 1998, he participates in various research projects of CREA on competitiveness and economic agglomeration, and he also coordinates several activities in CREA. He is the author or co-author of twenty-five scientific publications and contributions, a textbook of Macroeconomics and a book on financial centre of Luxembourg. Arnaud Bourgain teaches Economic Integration and International Macroeconomies issues at University of Luxembourg, at the Centre Européen Universitaire of Nancy since 1995, at the University of Metz and at the Institute of the Ministry of Finance, in Gabon.
