The University of Luxembourg and in particular the LL.M. programmes offered by the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance are presented in the Financial Times LLM 2011 Listing. On 28 November 2011 the Financial Times featured a special section entitled “Innovative Law Schools 2011”. The report reviewed major developments in global legal education. It also highlighted current trends such as, for example, the increasingly close ties developing between law and business, as well as the growing popularity of specialised LL.M. programmes. The Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance offers three LL.M. programmes covering a wide range of specialisations such as European Banking and Financial Law, European and International Tax Law, European Economic and Financial Criminal Law, European Litigation and General European Law. The academic focus is on European, transnational and comparative law. The teaching body consists of highly qualified professors from the University of Luxembourg and visiting professors from leading universities, as well as professionals from the European Institutions, as well as Luxembourg’s legal profession and the financial centre.
