Infrastructures

Classrooms/study room

  • Audimax Hall (Building VII) : is the biggest room on the Campus and is used for information meetings, lectures, conferences and exams.
  • Building II : studyroom with free Internet access and and copy machine
  • Building I (3rd floor) : In the MA Study Center provides the ideal working environment for students wanting to deepen their knowledge in the field of research and investigation. The Center is equipped with computers, the latest software and research devices.

Computer rooms

These are on the 4th floor of Building VI and are open from Monday to Friday, 8.00 to 19.30. Students can access computers with a free of charge Internet access.

Computer equipment:

Room TIC1: 29 computers
Room TIC2: 30 computers
Room TIC3: 11 computers especially for group work

All computers are running on Windows and Mac (Office 2010 on Windows 7 and Office 2011 on OS 10.6).

Practical information on the use of these rooms and the computer equipment is displayed in each of the three rooms. Wireless internet access is available throughout the Campus.

Library

Walferdange Library has books on

  •  the social and educational sciences
  • psychology

The Early Science Learning Library has

  • a multimedia library and teaching material on early science learning (éveil aux sciences) in pre-school and primary education
  • a lending facility for teaching material (experiment sets, models, technical equipment, discovery packs) 

The EIB collection

  • selected works from the historical collections of the EIB
  • press clippings on the activities of the EIB

These collections reflect the operational priorities of the Bank and, more broadly, the political and economic context of its development since its foundation in 1958  until 1980.

People with reduced mobility

The main Campus buildings have lifts and the pathways have gradually sloping ramps.

The Campus also has eight parking spaces for people with reduced mobility, which are located near buildings IV, XI, XII and X.

The Mother and Baby room (Building I, 2nd floor)

Young mothers attending Walferdange Campus can use a calm, comfortable, clean and private place to breastfeed their baby or express their milk. The Mother and Baby room is on the second floor of Building I. To enter the room, just ask for the key at reception (on the ground floor of Building I).
