The plaster road: the area between Béreldange and Kléngelbachtal has some plaster deposits of a very beautiful white colour. Plaster mines were opened at the beginning of the 20th century to exploit this original geological feature. Nowadays it’s possible to learn about its history by taking a 4km signposted walk.
The Raschpëtzer archeological site: this is an underground aqueduct (qanat) dating back to Roman times, with some 35 wells cut into the rock. They are interconnected by a main 600m gallery and a network of secondary galleries designed to channel water taken from deep underground up to Roman dwellings. The Raschpëtzer underground aqueduct is one of the best preserved ancient structures north of the Alps. The channel still provides a small amount of water.
Open from April to October, Sundays from 14.30 to 17.30. Guided tours for groups (20 people) on request (price: €25).
