Since April 2009 Sophie Neuenkirch has been a PhD-candidate and member of the project “Futures and pasts in transition: Family conversations on occupational and personal ambitions and perspectives in Luxembourg ( LUXFUT )”. Her doctoral thesis is entitled “Historical Consciousness and Future Perspectives. Family Narrations in Luxembourg“ and under the supervision of Sonja Kmec and Claudia Lenz. The LUXFUT-project is part of an international cooperation with the Kulturwissenschaftliches Institut Essen (Germany) and Emory University (Atlanta, USA).
