Jean-Sébastien Coron is Assistant-professor in Computer Science at the University of Luxembourg, where he is teaching "Cryptography" and "Information Systems". He is a former student of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris, France) and received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Ecole Polytechnique (Palaiseau, France) in 2001. Before joigning the University of Luxembourg, he was researcher in the Cryptography lab at Gemplus Card International, the world largest smart-card company, from 1998 to 2004. His research interests include public-key cryptography, computational number-theory and side-channel attacks on small devices such as smart-cards. He is the author of 25 publications, including 9 publications in the two most prestigious cryptography conferences (Crypto and Eurocypt). He has served numerous times in the program committees of prestigious conferences in cryptography (Crypto 2003, Eurocrypt 2004, Crypto 2005). He is the author and co-author of 16 patents.
