Financing possibilities
1. Financial aid from the State (Cedies)
- What is it?
This is a financial contribution by the government of Luxembourg for students in higher or university education (amended act of 22 June 2000).
The financial aid may consist of two parts:

| b) A loan at an interest rate of only 2% that the student may take out from one of the banks linked with the State (cf. below). |
Reimbursement conditions: the student must start reimbursing the loan two years after the end or discontinuation of his or her studies. From that time, the loan must be reimbursed within 10 years (or 5 years for students over 35 years of age).
Attention: Interest at the rate of 2% shall be normally debited to the student by the bank twice a year.
- Who is eligible for financial aid?
All the students registered in a cycle of post-secondary, higher, university studies, who meet one of the following conditions:
| - Be nationals of and reside in Luxembourg; |
