Language courses for Students/Doctoral Students

The University of Luxembourg offers language courses to its students and doctoral students enrolled at the University of Luxembourg and who wish to improve their language skills.

Schedule of the language courses

• Target public : Students and doctoral students
• Languages on offer : English, French and German
• Levels : Intermediary and advanced (no courses for beginners)
• Frequency : Weekly (2 hours)
• Timetable :

English : Tuesdays from 17:30 to 19:30
German : Wednesdays from 17:30 to 19:30
French : Thursdays from 17:30 to 19:30

• Beginning of the courses

Winter semester : October (Registration period closed for WS 2011-2012)

Summer semester : (Registration period closed for SS 2011-2012)

• First enrolment

Doctoral students are allowed to enroll either in a course for students (25 €) or in a course for staff (100 €) (Enrolment via the intranet site of the University of Luxembourg).

Winter semester 2011 - 2012 : Registration period closed

Summer semester 2011 - 2012 : Registration period closed

(Students and doctoral students will be duly informed by e-mail of the opening of the registration period)

1. Fill in the enrolment form (download below mentioned form)

2. Mandatory : take the placement test online.
(The score you obtain will determine the level of the course you will be able to attend;
if your score is under 15 points, your enrolment will not be taken into account)
ATTENTION : Enter customer code: “ 21920E ” – No customer code = Registration not taken into account

3. Print the result of your test, take it together with your registration form duly filled in and proceed with payment (25€) payable ONLY by credit card by Malika Dahou

You will receive by e-mail  a few days before the official start of the language courses the related information (Group, Room, Teacher...).

• RE-registration

Winter semester 2011-2012 : Period of enrolment closed

Summer semester 2011-2012 : Period of enrolment closed

(Students will receive an e-mail to inform them about the opening of the enrolment period)

• Validation of RE-registration

1. Fill in the enrolment form (download below mentioned form)

2. Bring your registration form duly filled in and proceed with payment (25€) payable ONLY by credit card by Malika Dahou Office BRA 0.07. Open from Monday to Friday from 9:00 am – 12:00 am to 13:30 pm – 16:00 pm Tel 446 644-6611.

You will receive by e-mail a few days before the official start of the language courses the related information (Group, Room, Teacher...).
