Master en droit financier européen et international - LL.M (académique)

We offer three Master programmes in Law that focus on European Law:

• Master in European Law LL.M.
• Master in European Economic Law LL.M.
• Master in European and International Financial Law LL.M.

Each Master is a two-year programme, which can either be followed in its entirety or only in the second year. The second year of each Master is made up of two specialisations. The Master degree is awarded upon successful completion of the second year.

The Master in European and International Financial Law LL.M.  consists of two alternative program specialisations in second year: Banking and European Financial Law  or European and International Tax Law  .

The specialisation in Banking and European Financial Law offers the student an in-depth education covering all theoretical and practical aspects in the field. With an option to further specialise in UCITS, the student can further enhance his knowledge of the laws regulating undertakings for collective investments in transferable securities.

The specialisation in European and International Tax Law offers an in-depth education covering the fields of Luxembourgish, European, and International Tax Law. All students participating in this specialisation will have the opportunity to take part in research activities organised by the ATOZ Chair for International Taxation.

Prospective careers

The career possibilities after successful completion of either specialty in the Master program are excellent. Law firms, accounting firms, insurance companies, banks, and others working in the financial markets are constantly looking for graduates specialised in the field of European and International Financial Law. Graduates will be equally qualified to start a career in government administration or at one of the European institutions. Some students may also be offered an opportunity to follow an academic career.
