Presentation

The University of Luxembourg Library (known by the French acronym “BUL”) places at the disposal of the university community documentary resources that are useful for teaching and research, in particular a collection of more than 220,000 volumes, and nearly 900 subscriptions to scientific and scholarly periodicals.

The BUL contains collections that cover different areas of knowledge. It pays particular attention to supporting an inter-disciplinary approach and multilingualism in building up the collections.

These collections are further enhanced by a vast offer of electronic documentation: the BNU portal.

The BUL consists of four libraries located on the different campuses of the University in Kirchberg, Limpertsberg and Walferdange. Although present on several sites, the resources of the 4 libraries are constituent elements of a single collection.

The BUL helps to bring users closer to the documentation so as to make them in particular more independent in mastering and using information tools and resources.
