Recent advances in the miniaturization and integration of biological processes using systems engineering and novel nanofabrication techniques for a variety of molecular analysis will be presented.

The application of such “nano-systems” to bioassays and biomedical devices is increasingly translating into clinical developments of genomic analysis of biomarkers for modern diseases prognosis, diagnosis and therapies. Although DNA sequencing analysis could be performed faster and at a low cost of $1000, there are still unmet needs in data analysis, but also in integrating workflow processing for preparing small volumes of complex biological fluids or tissues samples. Here, we report developments and performances validation of relevant technologies for analysis of bio-signatures for human identification, biodosimetry but also cancer and infection. The combination of nanosensors and nanoprobes with nano/microfluidic environment is also opening new horizons to a host of applications such as monitoring living cells or complex microbiota.
