Diana A. IGRET, LLM Eur is Research Associate on the IMPALA Project in the Centre for Research in Economics and Management, part of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance at the University of Luxembourg. She is an internationally trained lawyer and has completed an LLM Eur with dual specialization in Law and Management.
Prior to joining the Luxembourg scientific team on the International Migration Policy and Law Analysis Database project (IMPALA) in 2010, Diana functioned and specialised in European Economic Law and European Management.
Her research and writing interests focus on major categories of immigration law and policy, covering the economic immigration, family immigration, students’ immigration, acquisition and loss of citizenship, humanitarian protection, preferential bilateral agreements and policies relating to undocumented migration. Her work explores the regulatory complexion of international migration policies and the application of economic methods to analysis of law, and examines seven major categories of immigration law and policy. Diana is in charge of the legal analysis and data coding of migration policies for Germany and Switzerland from 1960 until the present and crosschecking data for Luxembourg and France.
