Institute for History
The Institute for History accommodates some 40 researchers working from an interdisciplinary and transnational perspective in the fields of European and Luxembourgish history. High quality research is ensured through a critical understanding of the past, innovative research methods and collaborative efforts aiming to overcome traditional periodization and disciplinary boundaries.
The results of research projects (PhD theses, internal projects, projects funded by FNR or European research programmes as well as Ministeries or private-public partnerships) are shared with the scientific community (colloques, scientific publications, portals and blogs), students (Bachelor, Master and PhD seminars) and the wider public (conferences and exhibitions). The Institute participates in the key research area MIS (Migration and Intercultural Studies) and the faculty network “Digital Humanities”.
