Integrative Research Unit: Social and Individual Development (INSIDE)
INSIDE is an interdisciplinary research unit comprising researchers from psychology, sociology, educational sciences,and social work dedicated to the study of individual and social development in times of rapid social change
The research unit currently realizes research within three major research domains comprising several sub-domains:
Psychosocial Stress and Health

- Social Psychology: Health Promotion and Aggression Prevention
- Clinical Health Psychology:Mental Disorders and Chronic Physical Conditions
Generations and Development across the Life-span
- Early Childhood: Education and Care
- Youth Research: Context and Structures of Growing-up
- Ageing and Life-span Development
Processes and Systems of Social Regulation
- Social Inclusion and Exclusion
- Social Inequality
All domains reflect "areas of concern" in modern society which are strongly affected by demographic and socio-economic changes.
Furthermore, all domains contain demands and tasks that are novel in Europe in general and Luxembourg in particular underlining the need for descriptive knowledge as well as knowledge about steering and regulating these processes.
