Luisito Bertinelli is Assistant Professor at the University of Luxembourg. He graduated in International Economic Relations (Sciences Po Paris, 1999) and got a PhD in Economics (Université Catholique de Louvain, 2003, under the direction of Prof. Jacques Thisse). He made several scientific visits at the University of Tokyo, Kyoto and California (Irvine) and at CERAS (National School of the Highways DepartmentsParis). His research is centered around regional and urban economics, but also concerns environmental and development issues. Some of these works were cited in the Millenium Project of UNO. He is the author and/or co-author of more than 10 publications in specialized scientific reviews. He has been consulted by the Ministry of Economy of Luxembourg about economic policies for Luxembourg.
He has presented his work in many workshops, conferences and seminars, for instanceamong others at the Universities of Pittsburgh, Beijing, Navarre, Leuven, also at INRA, ZEW Mannheim, London School of Economics (CEPR), University College Dublin, Max Planck Institute, WIDER, ESEM, EARIE.
