Prof. Dr. André Prüm
André Prüm is Professor of Financial and Business Law and Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance at the University of Luxembourg. He is a qualified French law professor (“professeur agrégé des facultés de droit”) since 1995 and has joined the University of Luxembourg in 2005 after having held positions at the Universities of Paris XI and Nancy 2, in France. He is visiting professor at the University of Paris 1, Panthéon-Sorbonne and the University of Paris 2, Panthéon-Assas where he teaches European aspects of banking and financial law.
His research areas focus on banking and financial law, business law, European contract law and law of the new technologies. He is the author of several books and publishes regularly on those topics in European legal journals. In October 2005, André Prüm was elected by his peers Dean of the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance, a post he was appointed to on November 1, 2005 for a five year term. In June 2010 he was re-elected to serve a second term. His teaching and research activities build on practical experience in counseling and arbitration. Qualifications
