Ulrich Segna is Assistant chercheur at the University of Luxembourg.

Born in 1969, he studied Law at the University of Osnabrück. He holds both German State Examinations in Law, a Doctorate in Law (Osnabrück 2001) and is currently preparing a postdoctoral thesis (Habilitationsschrift) under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. Theodor Baums.

Before joining the University of Luxembourg in June 2009, he was “Juniorprofessor” for Civil Law and German and European Corporate Law at the University of Frankfurt (2003-2009). In 2008, he was Visiting Scholar at Columbia Law School/New York. His doctoral thesis “Vorstandskontrolle in Großvereinen” was rewarded the “Rasch-Förderpreis” of the academic year 2001 for being the first publication dealing fundamentally with Corporate Governance problems in registered associations.
