Before Thomas Lenz became post-doctoral-research assistant at the research unit LCMI of the University of Luxembourg in 2009, he made a PhD in Sociology (Dr. Phil) at the University of Trier, Germany (“Konsum und Modernisierung. Die Debatte um das Warenhaus als Diskurs um die Moderne”). Besides, he has been working as scientific collaborator at the University of Trier and as has given courses at Hamline University, Minneapolis, USA and at the Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Thomas Lenz is elaborating a research project on school history and institutional change in Luxembourg.
