Anja Leist is a post-doc researcher at the University of Luxembourg and a member of the INSIDE research unit since April 2009. She received a PhD in psychology from the University of Trier. Her research interests lie in life-span development, physical and cognitive health and well-being in old age from a psychological and epidemiological perspective, and technology and ageing. From April 2009 until March 2011, she received a two-year postdoctoral grant where she conducted a longitudinal study on health and well-being in old age. After that, she worked in the Ambient Assisted Living Joint Programme project V2me ("Virtual coach reaches out to me"). Since October 2011, Anja is funded with a three-year postdoctoral fellowship under the FLARE 2 programme to investigate the interplay of economic and individual influences on health in older age. For the first year of the fellowship, she is working at the Department of Public Health, Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam. After that, she will continue her work at the Research Unit INSIDE at the University of Luxembourg.
