Georges Steffgen is professor of Social and Work Psychology at the Department of Psychology at the University of Luxemburg.
He is teaching ‘Introduction in Social Psychology’, ‘Introduction in Work and Organization Psychology’, ‘Methodology in Psychology’ and ‘Aggression and violence in different social contexts’. He has received Diploma and PhD from the University of Trier in 1989, respectively 1993.
Dr. Steffgen is currently directing research on aggression, especially on violence in school and on approaches to anger management and health promotion. He has been project manager of national and international scientific projects on violence in school and anger. He has authored and co-authored more than 40 papers in international journals and books and is editor or co-editor of 7 books to these topics. He gives in average 3 international talks per year. He is member of the ‘International Society of research on Aggression’ as well as of the ‘International Observatory of violence in school’ and actually also member of the ‘Standing Committee for the Social Sciences of the European Science Foundation’.
