Philippe BLANCA is a research assistant  (PhD student) at the University of Luxembourg. He is a graduate of the University of Lyon-2 in literature studies and of the University of Nancy-2 in cross-cultural psychology. Most of his professional activity before his arrival in Luxembourg was related to career guidance, lifelong learning and validation of prior learning.

In 2007, he joined the LCMI research group and since then was involved in two major projects: i) the European research project “Quality Management in Cross-Border Education (QUACE)” together with the universities of Liège (B) and Saarbrücken (G) (2006 - 2009) and ii) the international conference “Professionalising multilingualism in Higher Education” in February 2010, which was organized under the hospices of the senior adviser to the rectorate in charge of the development and the implementation of multilingualism within the university.

During the last 15 years, Philippe Blanca was a volunteer member of the editorial board of the transdisciplinary journal Le Croquant (Revue de sciences humaines, literatures, arts / Journal of Social sciences, Literature, Aesthetics), published in France. At the moment, his core research interest are processes of knowledge development in higher education and multimodal analysis of integrative forms of scientific dissemination.
