Rahel Stoike studied within the program « Etudes pluridisciplinaires sur le français et sur la France contemporaine » (Pluridisciplinary Studies of French and Contemporary France) with a specialization in French linguistics at the Free University of Berlin and Laval University in Quebec and graduated in 2009.
From September 2009 until September 2011 she worked as a project support staff member for the research project LACETS 2 (Langues en contact dans l’espace et dans le temps et leur impact sur le milieu scolaire au Luxembourg) within LCMI.
In September 2011 she started working as a PhD Assistant in the field of language ecology with Sabine Ehrhart as supervisor. Her research is on the dynamics of multilingualism within the University of Luxembourg, focusing on discourses and language practices of students in multilingual courses. The working title is: « Les interactions entre multilinguisme institutionnel et plurilinguismes individuels à l’Université du Luxembourg : une étude empirique ».
