Sofia Pacheco joined the LCMI Research Unit as Research Facilitator in September 2010. She holds a master degree in Geography and Regional Planning and started her career in Luxembourg as a Urban Planner in a consulting enterprise. She joined afterwards the European Commission - Eurostat (the Statistical Office of the European Union), where she was in charge of the dissemination of statistics and support to external users.
As Research Facilitator, she will help the Unit's researchers find, apply for and manage research funding; assist the Director of the Research Unit with research coordination and management; support the Unit's research activities and dissemination in academia and society and to ensure internal communication and cooperation within the Unit, the Faculty and the University administration regarding all research related questions.
