CoLuPo, the luxemburgish Committee of IPY

Why CoLuPo?

  • official link to the international IPY organizing committee
  • participate in the network of the IPY-planning community
  • influence Luxembourg to sign the Antarctic Treaty
  • coordination of the national effort for education and outreach
  • attract and develop the idea among Luxembourg scientists, engineers and leaders to contribute to Polar Activities
  • the IPY process, and also the legacy of IPY, should give Luxembourg researchers the opportunity to be included in international programmes, to share access to research infrastructures and training and exchange opportunities of human resources
  • establish a scientific information center
