Architecting Fault Tolerant systems: state of the art and ongoing work with CAAs
by: Henri Muccini
Abstract:
Recently, several studies have evidenced the need of fault tolerance support during the entire system life cycle, with especial interest at the architectural level. Some colleagues have proposed their solutions for fault tolerance via exception handling at the software architecture and component level. As a result, some approaches have been proposed, each one with different advantages and limitations.
In this talk we will survey the current state-of-the art on the topic, to see what has been done,
which topics have been covered and what remains to do. Then, the talk will present ongoing work on integrating CAA (the Coordinated Atomic Action) with software architectures
