DMGA: Dynamic Modeling of Ground Antennas

Référence: RAF0107002

Chef de projet: Jean-Regis Hadji-Minaglou

Équipe de chercheurs: Laurent Breyer (Doctorant), Stefan Maas, Arno Zürbes

Partenaires : HITEC Luxembourg SA, Luxembourg-Hollerich and the Ministry of Economy

Domaine de recherche: Electro-Mechanical Engineering

Durée du Projet: 01.05.2007 - 30.04.2010

Objectives : The main goal of the project is to obtain an accurate static and dynamic electro-mechanical model of a full motion antenna based on the simulation using independent modern computational tools (INVENTOR, ANSYS, ADAMS, MATLAB/SIMULINK), which will be validated by experiments in-shop and on-site with the live Galileo antennas and with any other antenna that HITEC Luxembourg will design and supply (Limited motion Geostationary Earth Orbit, low dynamic full motion Low Earth Orbit, high dynamic full motion Low Earth Orbit, full motion Middle Earth Orbit) .

Current Results: The mechanical design of the antenna has been validated. The next step is the study of the dynamic behaviour of the antenna with the analysis of the effect of the drive-train chain.
