Publication of research results

Dissemination of scientific publications to a large public is one of the main goals of the University.

However this valorisation step should only start when the research results have been protected. The researcher shall be aware that if the invention has been publicly disclosed, even by the inventor himself, it is not new and not patentable anymore. Therefore it is important that you temporarily avoid all king of public disclosure including any article, any written notice (such as poster for a conference), any oral communication (presentation in a conference, discussion with an economic partner…) during the patentability’s study.

Furthermore it is also essential to sign a non disclosure agreement before disclosing important information or know-how to a third party.
