Ghanem Soltana is a PhD Candidate at the Software Verification and Validation Laboratory (SVV). He started his PhD in November 2013 under the supervision of Prof. Lionel Briand and Dr. Mehrdad Sabetzadeh. Ghanem’s research interests lie in Software Engineering, Model-Driven Engineering, Requirements Engineering, and Software Testing. His doctoral work focuses primarily on regulatory compliance, modeling and verification of legal requirements in a project conducted in collaboration with CTIE(“Centre des technologies de l'information de l'Etat”).

Ghanem received an MSc in 2012 from the Higher Institute of Management of Tunis (ISG). The title of his thesis was “Auto-calibration for the validation/testing of multi-agent simulations”. He has worked for one year in the software industry and for six months as a research staff member in a joint project between ISG and the Missouri University of Science and Technology. His previous experiences were centered on evolutionary computation, simulation and multi-agent systems.
