Dr. Peter Schaffer received his M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Budapest University of Technology and Economics (BME) , Hungary in 2005 and 2009, respectively. During his PhD studies, he was member of the Laboratory of Cryptography and Systems Security (CrySyS) and his advisor was Prof. Levente Buttyán . Peter's Ph.D. thesis is entitled Resilient Data Aggregation and Aggregator Node Election in Sensor Networks .
Since October 2009, Peter holds a Research Associate position at Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT), University of Luxembourg.
Peter's research interests are in computer security, with an emphasis on security on large-scale networks and systems, and application of statistics to computer security and dependability. Current interests include privacy issues and dependable clustering in sensor networks. Previous work was about robust data aggregation.
