Before joining the SnT as a Ph.D. Candidate in 2010, Sandra worked as a scientific collaborator in the FNR-funded research project “SECAL-07-03-01/MENSSANA 3“ at the FDEF, analysing liability issues related to user-generated content on the internet. Her thesis focusses on online copyright enforcement and access blocking to illegal content. Sandra graduated from the University of Trier (Germany) in 2006, where she obtained the "Erstes juristische Staatsexamen" and completed the International Law Study Programme in Portuguese Law and Anglo-American Law. She also holds a LL.M. in International Commercial and Business Law from the University of East Anglia, Norwich (UK) and a Diploma in Legal Studies from the University of Wales, Cardiff (UK). Following two years of practical legal training, she passed her "Zweites Juristisches Staatsexamen" (Bar Exam) in 2008.
