Partnership programme

Although, universities and research institutes play a key role in the development of knowledge and innovations, research carried out in industry dominates in the ICT area. A Centre partnership program is established that forms a platform for interaction and cooperation with industrial and governmental partners. Partners contribute both to the basic funding of the Centre as well as directly to different projects through in-kind contributions. In addition to project participation and funding, external partners will contribute at all levels in strategic planning and through representation on the Centre advisory board.

The Industrial Advisory Board (IAB) with representatives from all partnership members advises the Centre Advisory Board, Director, and Management in addition to coordinating partner funded and co-funded research projects. In addition to participation in partner initiated research projects, the partnership program offers:

  • Participate in research projects funded by outside agencies (e.g. EU framework programs and national research agencies), partners will thus gain early access to research results corresponding to an investment far beyond their own commitment
  • An interface and portal for direct industry research contacts with UL researchers An informal meeting place at which seminars, workshops, and courses are arranged, creating a forum for discussion, interaction and debate as well as launching research projects
  • Competence enhancement to its partners through short courses covering various aspects of Security, Reliability and Trust
  • Mobility programs; academic and industrial researcher exchange including internships for PhD students
  • Yearly centre research progress meeting

The Centre creates visibility for the ongoing activity and for its participants. News and information will regularly be distributed to the scientific editorial offices of news agencies. Professional support functions will be available for this purpose. A Partnership Agreement defines the obligations of Centre and the partners.
