The insurance of identity, integrity and confidentiality are central concerns of technical banking infrastructures. This project focuses on the usage of modern mobile devices in secure networks, which covers in house as well as offsite and cross border architecture. Technical integration of mobiles devices into banking infrastructures and the usability of mobile devices, optimization of set-up, administration and maintenance are central concerns. The acceptance of upcoming concepts and solutions depends on applicability in daily life and based on analysis of specific needs and concrete set up in a banking environment with focus on European/international data exchange. To achieve the objectives of this project a test lab for specific requirements for mobile devices in secure, reliable and trustworthy networks will be necessary to contain standards for integrity, confidentiality and security. A proposal for a certification procedure for the usage of mobile devices in banking environments will be the goal as well as insight into secure reasonnable applications for mobiles devices.
