Enrolment in a doctoral programme
The university can confer the title of “doctor” in the following areas of research: biology, chemistry, economics, engineering, financial science, geography, history, informatics, law, literature, management, mathematics, philosophy, political science, physics, psychology, social science, science of education, science of languages.

A/ I meet the prerequisites
- I hold a master’s or equivalent degree
- I have found a dissertation supervisor: (note: you can contact professors by sending an e-mail to propose your dissertation topic together with a description (in a few pages) of the research project)

B/ I choose my type of funding and I register
Remarks : Joint dissertation supervision s are possible in all the funding cases. Nevertheless, the joint dissertation agreement must be signed no longer than one year after the enrolment of the candidate at the UL or at the partner university.
