Students with a technical diploma (diplôme de technicien):

For applicants who have completed one of the following:

  • a diplôme de technicien (secondary school technical diploma – DT)
  • a diplôme d’aptitude professionnelle (secondary school vocational diploma – DAP)
  • an equivalent secondary school diploma from another EU country, approved and recognised by the Luxembourg Ministry of National Education

Access to the first year of university studies on a professional Bachelor’s degree programme is open to holders of a secondary school technical diploma (diplôme de technicien) including completed preparatory modules, or a secondary school vocational diploma (diplôme d’aptitude professionnelle), in the same specialism that they wish to study at the University. 

Applicants are eligible for a place on a Bachelor’s degree programme in their specialism if they have completed their preparatory modules: 

  • Administrative and business specialism: Bachelor en Gestion (Professionnel)
  • Electronics specialism: Bachelor en Ingénierie (Professionnel)
  • Civil engineering specialism: Bachelor en Ingénierie (Professionnel)
  • Computer science specialism: Bachelor en Informatique (Professionnel)
  • Mechanics specialism: Bachelor en Ingénierie (Professionnel)
  • Construction specialism: Bachelor en Ingénierie (Professionnel)

Applicants who have already completed their secondary school technical diploma (diplôme de technicien) and have either completed or are currently taking their preparatory modules, but would like to opt for a different specialism than they did at school, are required to take an entrance exam on Friday 24 March 2017

Students working towards a technical diploma (diplôme de technicien):

Applicants who are still at secondary school and working towards their technical diploma (diplôme de technicien) and are registered for and currently taking their preparatory modules are required to take an entrance exam on Friday 24 March 2017. 

The DT and DAP entrance exam for the 2017 session is composed of the following parts depending on the Bachelor’s degree programme the applicant wishes to apply for (1 hour per test):

  • a language test in the teaching languages of the Bachelor programme the candidate is applying for (Level B2 - cf. CERS) ;
  • a test of writing skills on a generalist topic in one of the teaching languages of the programme the candidate is applying for;
  • a test of skills in mathematics (Luxembourg general technical baccalaureate level).
