How is the financial aid calculated?

The distribution of the financial aid varies depending on the financial situation of the household to which the student belongs:

  • For students who are supported by their parents or by one of their parents, the annual taxable income of this household is taken as the basis of calculation.
  • For married students, only the student's taxable income is taken as the basis of calculation.
  • For students registered in postgraduate studies, their own income is taken as the basis of calculation.
  • Registration expenses actually paid are added to the budget allocated.
  • Sums paid for registration expenses exceeding the figure of Euro 100 and up to a maximum of Euro 3,700 are included in the calculation of the financial aid. One-half is granted in the form of a grant and the other half in the form of a loan.
