Master en droit européen - LL.M. (académique)

> Langues d'enseignement: français / anglais

This Master degree is one of three Master programmes in law offered by the faculty, which focus on European law.

Each Master programme encompasses two years of studies. It is possible to attend the full course or only the second year. The second year of each Master programme comprises two specialisations. The Master degree is awarded after candidates have successfully completed the second year.

The Master in European Law LL.M. offers two separate programmes in the second year of the degree course: the branch of General European Law and that of European Private Law .

In view of the long European tradition in the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and the proximity of numerous European institutions, including the Court of Justice of the European Union and the European Investment Fund, the Master in European Law at our faculty concentrates on European law and comparative law. The branch of general European law is research-based and offers broad insight into the different fields of European law. The branch of European private law forms a natural extension of the first year of the Master degree course in European law for students who wish to specialise in private law or continue their specialisation in this particular field.

Enrolment for specialisation in European Private Law will be open for the 2012/2013 academic year.

Career paths

The degrees facilitate access to all legal professions, e.g. law firms, notary, magistrate, legal expert, national and European administrations, banks and other financial institutions. The above Master degrees will also enable students to pursue an academic career by enrolling for a PhD.
