Bachelor en ingénierie (professionnel)> Teaching languages: Français/Deutsch The "Engineering Bachelor" is a practical oriented degree which guarantees students a good preparation for entering a career in the engineering field The Bachelor offers the choice between eight different options:
The students are allowed either to change the option they've enrolled for, or, if they prefer, to transfer to a more theoretical bachelor degree call " Bachelor en Sciences et Ingénierie ". This flexibility is greatly appreciated by students who are not totally sure of the direction they wish to take. On completion of this Bachelor course, students may continue their studies by enrolling for the " Master in Engineering Sciences ", a new course which has been created for the beginning of the Wintersemester 2008/9 at the University of Luxembourg. Not only are the courses very practical, but the degree also offers training courses in major international companies such as Arcelor-Mittal, Goodyear and Husky who all have a close relationship with the university. The learning groups are small and multicultural and therefore allow professors to have a personal approach to each student. In addition, the so-called "mobility semester" allows students to spend a term in one of the foreign universites who have established working agreements with th University of Luxembourg. Career opportunitiesEngineers are currently very much in demand, both inside and outside the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg. As a result, students who successfully complete this Bachelor degree have very good job opportunities in both the public and private sectors. Target groups and admission criteriaEntry for this Bachelor degree requires an interest in science and technology. In addition, you must have a Baccalaureate from a Luxembourgish secondary school or an quivalent level of qualifications which has been recognised by the Luxembourgish Ministry of Education. Students are also required to be fluent in both French and German and a good knowledge of English is also considered as an advantage.
