Event date: Saturday, 25 March 2017, 14:00 - 18:00
Place: Centre national de l'audiovisuel
1, Rue du Centenaire
L-3475 Dudelange

The second ForumZ will look at the history, memory and legacy of the Second World War, exploring issues related to the occupation, the resistance, collaboration and Jewish persecution. It will be presented in an innovative 10x6 “history slam” format: 10 speakers, 6 minutes per speaker, 10 different topics. These presentations will be followed by a discussion around 10 tables on the 10 themes explored. After drawing conclusions from the debate, the afternoon will end with a musical performance of “Liberation songs” by Frank Mehring and a drinks reception.

ForumZ is a new series of events organised by the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH). ForumZ (Z for Zeitgeschichte, contemporary history) is a platform for a critical and open discussion of current issues in contemporary Luxembourgish and European history. Representatives of archives and museums, researchers, teachers and lecturers, as well as the interested public, are warmly invited to join our guest speakers and experts for a discussion of topical issues, research prospects, new approaches and new sources in contemporary history.
