Should I cancel business trips?

All professional travel is suspended until 31 July 2020. Please be aware of the travel bans imposed by the European Union and numerous countries inside and outside Europe.

What should I do if I am currently planning a trip?

Reservation of flights, trains and hotels for planned professional trips from September 2020 onwards is permitted without prior approval by the rectorate, provided the destination is not subject to travel restrictions and border closures. Bookings can only be made through the travel agency contracted by the University: Travel Pro.

How can I prevent travel?

The University recommends Webex, Skype, or other video-conferencing tools as alternatives to travel. user guide including all instructions to launch Webex can be found on the University’s Service portal.

Do cancelled flights, hotels etc. get reimbursed?

All information regarding reimbursement and quarantine costs can be found in our internal guidelines.

For personal reasons such as holidays, can I travel to another country identified as being or not at risk?

We recommend you to stop travelling, and strongly encourage you to follow the recommendations provided by your country of residence.
