Covid-19 and the University

With the teaching activities transitioned to remote mode (as of 16 March) and the administrative staff working from home, the University is closed to visitors, except for strictly necessary service reasons.

Teaching: All in-person classes are canceled until further notice. Teaching activities continue in remote formats, to the extent possible, for all programmes effective Monday, 16 March. Our professors, lecturers and adjunct faculty are providing students with course material online to the extent possible.

For teachers: Information on teaching remotely

Student services are provided as follows. It is recommended to prioritise contact by email.

  • SEVE: seve.admission@uni.lu / seve.logement@uni.lu / seve.mobility@uni.lu / incoming@uni.lu
  • Office of Doctoral Studies: phdstudies@uni.lu
  • The Luxembourg Learning Centre is closed. The "Ask a librarian" service: askalibrarian@uni.lu will remain operational.
  • Campus Sport/Campus Art and Campus Well-being: All classes are cancelled until further notice.
  • Career Centre: Student counseling continues. Students are requested to contact the Centre via email if possible. All workshops are postponed or cancelled until further notice.
  • Competence Centre: The Competence Centre’s teaching activities are suspended. The Centre will inform all parties concerned and remains the point of contact.
  • Confucius Institute: All teaching activities are provided online.
  • Canteens and restaurants: All canteens and restaurants on University campuses are closed.

Conferences and events: The University of Luxembourg has cancelled all events from 16 March until 31 March.
