1. Third country national applicant

• holding a Bachelor's degree
• and a Luxembourg residence permit

If you are a third country national applicant with a Bachelor's degree corresponding to at least 180 ECTS credits according to the Bologna Process framework, awarded by a higher education institution located in another European Union Member State, in a Member State of the European Economic Area or in the Swiss Confederation, your degree is automatically recognised.

If you are not yet in possession of your degree during the application period of the chosen study programme, you can submit your application online. In any case, you must apply no later than the deadline set by the study programme.

If your application is accepted, you will receive a letter of conditional admission.
As soon as you receive your diploma and transcript, you can upload these documents via your admissions portal to complete your application. A letter of final admission will then be sent to you together with the invoice for the enrolment fees in order to validate your final enrolment.

As you have a residence permit in Luxembourg, the application deadlines are the same as for European applicants.

2. Third country national candidate

• holding a Bachelor's degree or an educational qualification entered in the Register of Educational Qualifications
• and no Luxembourg residence permit

You must already be in possession of your degree and the proof of registration of your diploma in the Register of Educational Qualifications when you submit your application.

If you are admitted, you will be required to:

• study full-time, in accordance with the Law of 29 August 2008 on the free movement of persons and immigration, students who are third country nationals cannot be admitted on a part-time basis.
• obligatorily reside on the Luxembourg territory. For any application for a residence permit to be made by 1 July at the latest, please consult the procedure on the government website.
  Unless the applicant is admitted to a multinational study programme (organised in partnership with foreign partner universities) and holds a residence permit in the Schengen area, there is the possibility to request a mobility notification from the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs

3. Third country national applicant

• holding a Bachelor's degree issued by a State outside of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or the Swiss Confederation
• and a residence permit for Luxembourg

Your diploma (or certificate of achievement) must be submitted at the same time with your application.

Your diploma must be registered in the Register of Educational Qualifications of the Higher Education Department of the Ministère de l'Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche in Luxembourg. Your application in this regard must be submitted by 1 October at the latest.

• holding a Bachelor's degree issued by a state outside of the European Union (EU), the European Economic Area (EEA) or the Swiss Confederation
• and no residence permit for Luxemburg

Your diploma (or certificate of achievement) must be submitted at the same time with your application.
If your application is accepted, you will receive a letter of conditional admission.

You will need to apply for a residence permit (deadline 1 July 2022).

Once you have received your residence permit, you can apply from your country of origin to the competent ministry for registration of your degree in the Register of Educational Qualifications:

At your arrival, present yourself at the SEVE at the University with your residence permit and the registration of your diploma in the Register of Educational Qualifications in order to finalise your enrolment by paying your enrolment fee and health insurance, if necessary.
