Graduation Week 2017 at the University of Luxembourg


Thank you for making our Graduation Week a success!

The University of Luxembourg held its very first Graduation Week over a period of four consecutive days, from 12 to 15 December 2017.

This event highlighted the academic achievements of our students and celebrated their new status as alumni of the University of Luxembourg.

To get photos from the ceremony

For PhD Graduates: A professional photographer, Michel Brumat, was present during the inaugural Doctoral graduation event. Official portraits and group pictures have been taken during the ceremony. During the reception after the ceremony, there were additional opportunities for professional portraits and pictures taken with family and friends. You have already been provided with details to see and purchase the photos.

For Bachelor and Master Graduates: A professional photographer, Hans Georg Eiben, was present during the bachelor and master ceremonies to take an official group photo of each graduating class. These photos are available for purchase online at convention-pictures.de.

Other things you may need to know

How can I receive my degree certificate if I am unable to attend the ceremony?

You can pick up your degree certificate at the SEVE from 18 December onwards.  

The office hours of Delphine Borbiconi are Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 12.00 and 14.00 to 16.00.

If you cannot pick up your certificate at the SEVE in person, you may ask someone else to do so for you. This person will need a letter of proxy and a copy of your ID.

If you are abroad, please email Delphine Borbiconi directly and indicate your new address.

What language is my degree certificate in?

Bachelor and Master degree certificates are in English, French and German.

What happens if I have any outstanding debts with the University?

Degree certificates will only be issued on condition that you have no outstanding debts with the University of Luxembourg (library, housing, etc.).

You will still be able to attend your graduation ceremony, but you will only receive your degree certificate once you have cleared your debts.

How can I get a certified copy of my degree certificate?

Please go to Delphine Borbiconi’s office with your original degree certificate.

Office hours: Monday to Friday from 8.00 to 12:00 and 14.00 to 16.00.

What should I do if there is a mistake on my degree certificate?

Please email Delphine Borbiconi directly.

A new degree certificate will be printed. Please note that this may take up to one month.

I have lost my degree certificate. Can I get a new one?

You can ask for a duplicate but there is a €50 fee.
