| The Luxembourg School of Finance held its 8th Asset Management Summit on the 17th and 18th of October, organised by Professor Roman Kräussl. We were happy to welcome Annette Vissing-Jorgensen (Haas School of Business, UC Berkeley), as our academic keynote. Her lecture was focusing on monetary policy communications, and their effects on the stock market.

| This academic and practitioner’s conference, which culminates with an executive panel and debate on the second day, is devoted to issues central to the asset management industry. The two day conference is accompanied by a high-quality social program starting with a welcome reception on the evening of October 17, 2012 and a conference dinner in the Chateau Bourglinster on October 18, 2012. On October 18th and in the morning of October 19th, the academic programme will take place: Sixteen high quality papers related to asset management will be presented and discussed by leading academics from all over the world. The 16 papers were selected from over 60 submissions by a Scientific Committee including Andrew Karolyi (Cornell University), Massimo Massa (INSEAD) and Julian Franks (London Business School) On the afternoon of October 19th , will we will have two keynote presentations on how the financial crisis affects the asset management industry are followed with a panel discussion.
