The Marshall-Wythe School of Law of the College of William & Mary can boast a long history as America's first Law School, whose origins date back to 1779, on the initiative of Thomas Jefferson.  It is located in Williamsburg, Virginia, affectionately known as the 'Burg', a city which is equally as lively as it is historical, making it a great place to spend a semester abroad.  The partnership between the University of Luxembourg William & Mary School of Law will allow 2 students per year to study there for one semester, in addition to providing a framework for Faculty exchanges and research collaboration.
