Congratulations to the 2022 Pierre Werner Scholarship winners!

We are pleased to announce that 4 Doctoral researchers from both the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance and from the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences will receive the 2022 Pierre Werner Scholarship.

This scholarship is made available by the Fondation Pierre Werner, under the aegis of the Fondation de Luxembourg.

In July, the Fondation Pierre Werner management committee came together to select the scholarship laureates. Their final decision was based on the outcome results of the pre-selection committee from the University of Luxembourg, composed of Prof. Benny Mantin, Prof. Joana Mendes, Prof. Pierre Picard and Prof. Josip Glaurdić. 

The successful candidates for the 2022 scholarships are:

Laura Pierret (French, Spanish), from the Institute of Political Sciences (ISP) with the subject “Moral hazard, stability, and power: a new perspective on the politics of Europe’s Economic and Monetary Union in the post-2007 crises era” 

Félix Fabian Stips (German), from the Doctoral School in Economics, Finance and Management (DSEFM) with the subject “Labor Market Impacts of Human Mobility”

Lisa Urban (German), from the Doctoral School of Law with the subject “Hacking Techniques in Criminal Investigations – A comparative and European Analysis”

Dominik Jordi Ornig (Austrian), from the Doctoral School of Law with the subject “Financial Digitalisation and International Investment Disputes”
