Linklaters Luxembourg and the University of Luxembourg have partnered to launch the Linklaters Making Links Programme in Luxembourg, recognising and supporting outstanding students pursuing a Bachelor en Droit degree at the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance (FDEF).

The Making Links Programme, which is also being implemented in Amsterdam, Brussels, Lisbon, Milan, Paris and Stockholm is specifically designed to help talented university students from underrepresented groups succeed in their early career by supporting the development of technical and professional skills whilst building strong commercial fluency and a global outlook.

Two high-potential students, who also demonstrate financial need, will be selected in their second year of the Bachelor en Droit degree and will receive a scholarship of €3,000 during their final year. They will also be offered a Legal summer Internship at Linklaters.

“I am delighted to begin this partnership with Linklaters,” said Katalin Ligeti, Dean of the FDEF. “For our Bachelor en Droit students, many of whom have little notion of the professional legal environment, opportunities to gain practical experience, meet potential mentors and grow their network with leading international firms such as Linklaters are invaluable. We highly appreciate the investment that Linklaters is making in our students,” Prof. Ligeti continued.

“I believe in giving everyone the opportunity to grow and achieve their goals in life. I am absolutely delighted that today thanks to our partnership with the University of Luxembourg, we are able to support two talented law students in their university curriculum and give them the opportunity to get an insight into Linklaters during their internship. It is a great way for them to meet lawyers, gain experience and for us to share our passion,” said Nicki Kayser, National Managing Partner
