Uni.lu Profs lend expertise to documentary film on 2008 banking crisis

In September 2008, a shock wave rippled through Luxembourg in the form of a global financial crises. On 18 May 2022, Rishon Films released a 71-minute long documentary film “CRISE ET CHUCHOTMENTS” capturing one of Luxembourg’s darked hours in the financial sector.

Directed by Jossy Mayor and Laurent Moyse, “CRISE ET CHUCHOTMENTS” tells the story through the exclusive testimonies of those ministers, bankers and journalists who lived it first-hand.

Along with industry actors and deciders of the time such as Luc Frieden, Charles Goerens, and many others, the film includes interviews from FDEF Professor of Financial Markets Law, Pierre-Henri Conac as well as from FHSE Sociology Professor Louis Chauvel. 

In the documentary, Prof. Conac contributed his expertise in financial law, banking law and company law at EU and national level to the retelling and analysis of the 2008 financial crisis.
