The University of Luxembourg hosted a different “Graduation Week” on 11 and 12 May for graduates of the academic year 2019/20. The hybrid ceremonies allowed for award-winning graduates to receive their prizes and awards in a ceremony that was streamed online.

Due to COVID-19, the graduation ceremonies of the academic year 2019/2020 which would normally have taken place in December 2020 were postponed to May 2021 to allow graduates to receive awards in smaller ceremonies while respecting COVID-19 restrictions.

In the academic year 2019/2020, 1,710 students mastered their study programme despite a challenging environment. Overall, 706 Bachelor’s and 549 Master’s students as well as 129 doctoral candidates graduated, and 326 students have obtained certificates for vocational or lifelong learning courses.

360 students received a diploma from the Faculty of Science, Technology and Medicine, 749 from the Faculty of Law, Economics and Finance, 581 from the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences, and 20 from the Competence Centre.
