In the academic year 2019/2020, more than 1,600 students graduated from the University of Luxembourg. Overall, 659 Bachelor and 544 Master students as well as 121 doctoral candidates finished their degrees.

The Faculty of Science Technology and Medicine counts 334 graduates, the Faculty of Law, Finance and Economics 748 and the Faculty of Humanities, Education and Social Sciences 580.

The University traditionally confers the diplomas and celebrates the success of its graduates at the Graduation Week in December. Considering the ongoing health crisis, the event has been postponed to May 2021.

“Graduation is an important milestone in the lives of our students – a moment that we usually like to share with them. It is unfortunate that this year’s end will pass by without celebrating their success as we usually do. We will hold a smaller, livestreamed event in May 2021, and in the meantime, we celebrate and congratulate our graduates from afar and wish them all the best on their future paths,” says Catherine Léglu, Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs of the University of Luxembourg.
